Even though he's been linked to many teams since his name has been on the trade block. Two teams have constantly been coming back.
The Wild has been linked to Brock Boeser in a trade that would notably send Matt Dumba, a right-handed d-man. Even though the Canucks desperately need help on the defensive side of things, there isn't a roster spot available for a defenseman right now. Ethan Bear, Tyler Myers, and Luke Schenn are all under contract so unless one of them is moved, the Canucks won't be pulling the trigger on this one.
The other team that's constantly been in the Rumor mill, is the Crosby's Penguins. They are desperately trying to add to their forward group and the sharpshooter Brock Boeser would definitely fit in nicely with a team filled with playmakers. Though where it gets interesting is that the Penguins would be sending Kasperi Kapanen and one of Ty Smith or Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
Kapanen hasn't been playing up to the potential he displayed back in his Toronto days and his first year in Pittsburgh. He could help the Penguins make it work on the salary front. He currently spots on the team's 3rd line where he registered 16 points in 30 games, his best career season goes back to 2018-2019 when he had 44 points and 20 goals. To cap it off Smith or Joseph would come and seal the deal. The two are both great skaters very well adapted to today's pace, Joseph's been making his way to the Pens' d-core and as the games go by he takes more and more minutes.
Would you pull the trigger on as Boeser VS. Kapanen / Joseph, trade?
