Ethan Bear making the difference against the Avalanche
Bear was the difference maker in Wednesday's rendez-vous with the Avs since he scored the game winning goal in the third. A stunning shot from the point that went over Francouz's shoulder. He also registered an assist on Bo Horvat's 16th goal of the season.
Bear spent over 20 minutes on the ice, was credited with 2 points and blocked to shot leading the team to victory. He was later awarded the game's 1st Star.
Ethan Bear has now been with the Canucks for 11 games. He's settling quite well with the club and even shared ice time with top defensemen Quinn Hughes lately. He was acquired with Lane Pederson in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes for a 5th pick. Bear has shown great potential since the beginning of his professional career, but has never lived up to it. The way he is developping, this trade could eventually turn out to be a real steal from the Canucks Management.
Bear now has 2 goals and 2 assist since his arrival and managed a +1 differential.
His confidence and game can only improve from there.
