LATEST | Canucks announce roster movement involving Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Oliver Ekman-Larsson was out with injury for the last few games on the season which allowed for multiple rookies to make their NHL debut.
The Canucks have just made a roster move switching Ekman-Larsson from the IR to the team's Roster.
While this means that he's now healthy, it's also the first step if the Canucks planned on buying him out. OEL's play has been way below expected and with the Canucks trying to make cap space, buying the Swede defender out would definitely give Allvin additional cap space to work with.
It was brought up earlier that the Canucks weren't planning on using buy-outs over the summer. Either way, they'll have to find a solution to shed some cap space and whether it's money, or draft picks, or prospects, the Canucks are going to be paying to do so.
