The Canucks made big coaching changes when Rick Tocchet and his crew took over from Bruce Boudreau. Adam Foote and Sergei Gonchar were notable names that joined the Canucks when this all happened.

The effect of the team's defense at this point is undeniable since the defense's composure has been much better along with the team's general play. Although Foote had always been recognized as a heck of a leader throughout his career, a recent practice in which he was mic'd up truly showed what it meant to have an experience and poised player who had known the game at the highest level.

Adam Foote is a veteran of 1154 regular season NHL games, who graved his name on the Stanley Cup on two occasions. He's also shared time with players that are going down in history as legends, such as Joe Sakic, Raymond Bourque, and even Patrick Roy. The experience he brings on board for young, up-and-coming players is of the utmost importance and it already started paying off.
