If what the analysts have predicted is correct, the 2023 Amateur will be remembered for a very long time for its deep prospect pool. Topping the line is none other than the North Vancouver, BC native Connor Bedard.

Viewed as the undisputed first-overall pick of his draft class since he was pretty much 14 years of age. Bedard hasn't ceased to amaze the public ever since and while his talent is undeniable, it's actually his maturity that's been impressive to a lot of people recently. He released a statement that clearly showed how special he is:

''I truly don't care about 1st Overall. I hope I get picked even if it's dead last. I still have a lot to prove.''

This reveals lots of information on the superstar in the making. It's not something we would've heard out of Shane Wright last year, that's certain.

Connor Bedard has been outstanding all year, from when he took over the World Junior or his dominant WHL season where he registered 71 goals and 72 assists in 57 games is unlike anything we've ever seen. The WHL playoffs have started and the Hockey phenom has already managed 13 points through 4 games, including 8 goals.

He sure is an impressive young man and there is no doubt to this point that the team that will win the lottery will win the big haul.
