LATEST | Insider makes concerning statement on Andrei Kuzmenko's future
Andrei Kuzmenko has been a gem in the making ever since he joined the Canucks via free agency last summer. The Russian winger exceeded every possible expectation since he now counts 37 goals and 68 points in 73 games, making it the most explosive start to an NHL career within the Canucks organization.
Dan Riccio made quite the statement yesterday when he stated the following on the Kuzmenkshow:
''I have zero percent confidence that Kuzmenko will score as many goals as he did this year. ZERO.''
Kuzmenko has been stellar around the net this year since he scored on a variety of tips and tap-ins. His positioning and IQ has been key to his success around the net. On this particular day, Kuzmenko displays the top shooting percentage in the league at a 27.6% rate of conversion.
It's crazy to think that over a quarter of the shots he takes are going in the net. While Riccio is certain that Kuzmenko won't be converting as many shots next year, it can be observed that Kuzmenko doesn't low percentages shot and he could prove Riccio wrong if he keeps playing the net front position this well.
The first-year winger is currently on pace to hit the 40-goal mark, do you think he will live up to his standards next year? Will he score as much?
