MAJOR | Coyotes reveal the Four Cities targeted for their relocation: Two Surprises among them
The Arizona Coyotes have been the reason for a lot of headlines recently and over the weekend they stirred the pot yet again.
Their Billion dollar idea for a building in Tempe did not go through and they'll be needing a new home and quite fast at that too. While the expectation is that they remain in the Mullet Arena for next season (Arizona State University's facility), this can only be a temporary solution.
In a recent official post, the Arizona Coyotes listed 4 cities they had targeted for their potential relocation:
- Mesa
- Scottsdale
- Chandler
- Gilbert
The fact that they had gone to social media to highlight their potential new home hasn't gone unnoticed and it wasn't to everyone's pleasing. The renowned Frank Seravalli called out the franchise and compared them to a local Jr. B team:
''Is this an NHL franchise or a local Jr. B team?
It is utterly mind-blowing that this is a thing. The correct answer is, of course, a municipality that actually wants to have the #Yotes - after two have said no.''
This situation clearly needs to be handled urgently as it's not giving good looks on the league and Bettman's administration.
