MAJOR | NHL issues official statement regarding the Arizona Coyotes
The results are in regarding the Coyotes' voting in regards to their new building, not only is the organization, but the league were both very surprised by the outcome.
Following the disappointment in that regard, the League has emitted the following statement:
'The National Hockey League is terribly disappointed by the results of the public referenda regarding the Covotes arena project in Tempe. We are going to review with the Coyotes what the options might be moving forward''
The Coyotes' organization later emitted their formal statement to show their disappointment:
'We are very disappointed Tempe voters did not approve Propositions 301, 302, and 303. As Tempe Mayor Corey Woods said, it was the best sports deal in Arizona history. The Coyotes thank everyone who supported our efforts and voted yes.''
Whether they accept it or not, this team move can only be a step in the right direction. It was clear that the market's interest in the game was weak since they had issues filling the Mullet Arena (Arizona State Univ. Facility) which could only hold about 5000 spectators.
This team needs a major change and we'll be updating you on it as we go along, expect to hear more in the next following days. As previously reported, they are expected to move out before next season.
