MAJOR | Ottawa Senators' player suffers gruesome and possibly career-ending injury
The Ottawa Senators are hosting the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in a not-so tightly disputed game.
The Sens scored their 3rd goal in the game's second period after only giving up 4 shots. However, it's not even the goal itself that retained the most attention of the sequence as Derick Brassard bent his leg in the most awkward manner, have a look:
The video displays Brassard's leg bending in ways it's not meant to and the repercussions may be huge on the soon-to-be 36-year-old. At this point, the Sens have not released any formal statement on the subject, but Brassard was helped off the ice and could not put any weight on his right leg.
Brassard has been a great leader with the Sens, he managed 23 points in 61 games this year, though an injury of this sort may lead him to a heart-breaking decision.
