The Canucks had an opportunity in their hand to draft a local talent in Connor Bedard. Fate wasn't on their side as he is Chicago bound. 2024 offers the Canucks a 2nd opportunity to have high-end local talent.

He's already been identified as the 2024 top Canadian prospect and the Vancouver Native, Macklin Celebrini was on Sekeres and Price earlier this week and was practically calling for the Canucks to make it happen.

"I love Rogers Arena, it was like my second home...I'm a big #Canucks fan...it would be very special...Kesler & the Sedins...I loved watching them."

Celebrini opted for the College Road down in the States, in the USHL this season he was outstanding as he managed to collect two extremely gratifying awards as the league's top player and the top rookie. He collected an impressive 86 points in 50 games, as a first-year player. He's already committed his services to Boston University for the upcoming season where he'll try and break Jack Eichel's record.

He'll definitely be an intriguing prospect to watch perhaps the Canucks can finally manage to bring an elite-level local player home?
