Sportsnet's show "Tim and Friends" will be going off the air. The show, hosted by Tim Micallef, has been a popular fixture on the network for the past four years.
Sportsnet announced on Wednesday that "Tim and Friends" will air its final episode on June 30th, 2023. The decision to end the show was made as part of Sportsnet's ongoing efforts to "evolve" its programming lineup.
''I knew from jump that all good things must come to an end, but that doesn't make this any less bittersweet."
"Tim and Friends" premiered in 2018, and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to Micallef's entertaining and engaging hosting style. The show covered a range of sports, from hockey and basketball to football and baseball.
In a statement, Sportsnet thanked Micallef for his "passion, dedication, and commitment" to the show, and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
Micallef, for his part, expressed his gratitude to Sportsnet and his fans for their support over the years.
