WOW: 9-year-old tells Matt Murray he sucks after he's pulled from the game (video)
There's a good old adage stating that the truth always come out of the kids' mouths and this is a clear example of it. On January 17th, the Leafs played the Panthers and Murray didn't play up to his standards.
Murray gave up four goals on only eight shots before he left the net for Samsonov. The Leafs were sparkled by the goalie change and Samsonov was able to keep the door shut in the second period.
Though an event that occurred in the tunnel between the second and the third period, fans were giving the team some love but when it came to Matt Murray at the end, a young fan called him and told him he sucked :
The kid's parents were horrified by their son's comment as you can see in the video. The Leafs ended up coming back and grabbed the win in O.T. Since then, Samsonov has been the Leafs' starter and the kid probably had a point.
