LATEST | Imminent announcement for Corey Perry? He's still drawing interest
After an alleged 'alcohol fueled' incident at a corporate event, the Chicago Blackhawks terminated the contract of veteran forward Corey Perry.
Perry is now an unrestricted free agent after clearing unconditional waivers on Wednesday afternoon and it appears that his time in the NHL might not be over as quickly as many had thought.
According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, some teams have been interested in Perry over the last day or two.
"I think there's actually been a couple of teams in the last 24-48 hrs that may be interested in adding a player like Corey Perry, so I think there's a lot left to be written here." Seravalli said.
Perry, 38, appeared in 16 games with Chicago before his contract termination and played quite well, putting up nine points (four goals, five assists), 12 penalty minutes and was a minus-five.
Given his play on the ice this season, would you like to see Patrik Allvin and the Canucks try to sign Corey Perry for the rest of the 2023-24 season? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
