After becoming an unrestricted free agent this summer, it was unclear what options were for former Vancouver Canucks forward Jonah Gadjovich, but now he's found his new home.

Gadjovich, 25, has agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way contract worth $810,000 with the Florida Panthers for the 2023-24 season.

The Whitby, Ontario, was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round (55th overall) in 2017 and spent parts of three seasons in their organization once his OHL career ended.

He only appeared in one game for the Canucks, spending the rest of his time in the American Hockey League, before he was claimed off waivers before the 2021-22 season.

Gadjovich will likely spend a good chunk of the season in the American Hockey League with the Charlotte Checkers, but he'll also get into some games with the Panthers. So far, he hasn't appeared in any games and missed training camp due to an injury he sustained in February, but Panthers head coach Paul Maurice believes he'll be able to return in early November.
