According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the following ten players were placed on the waiver wire on Friday afternoon. If any ten players clear waivers on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, they'll be assigned to their team's respective American Hockey League affiliate.
- Keaton Middleton (Colorado Avalanche)
- Spencer Smallman (Colorado Avalanche)
- Tyler Wotherspoon (New Jersey Devils)
- Alex Belzile (New York Rangers)
- Anton Blidh (New York Rangers)
- Turner Elson (New York Rangers)
- Ty Emberson (New York Rangers)
- Connor Mackey (New York Rangers)
- Riley Nash (New York Rangers)
- Adam Gaudette (St. Louis Blues)
The majority, if not all, of the players listed above will likely clear tomorrow afternoon. Still, there are certainly some interesting names that Patrik Allvin and the Canucks could consider for depth options in Abbotsford, including Anton Blidh.
Blidh, 28, has 84 games of NHL experience with the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche between the 2016-17 and 2022-23 seasons. Blidh could add a bit of grit to the lineup in Vancouver in a fourth-line role, but it would also be a solid option in the AHL.
