Christian Ehrhoff had the best seasons of his NHL career as a member of the Vancouver Canucks in 2009-10 and 2010-11, registering 44 and 50 points, respectively. He also played a key role in the playoffs both years, especially in 2011 when the Vancouver Canucks reached their third Stanley Cup Final in franchise history.
During their 2011 run to the Stanley Cup Final, Ehrhoff averaged 22:27 time on ice per game, 12 points (two goals, ten assists), 26 blocks and 27 hits in 23 games.
Now, the Moers, Germany native is giving hockey fans and fans of the Vancouver Canucks an opportunity to purchase a piece of equipment he wore during the 2011 Stanley Cup Final against the Boston Bruins.
In an eBay listing, Ehrhoff shared that he's auctioning off the pants he wore during the Final. At the time of writing this on Tuesday afternoon, the current bid is 251 Euros and if a fan in North America wins the auction, they'll need to 20 Euros in shipping costs.
After the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, Ehrhoff was traded to the Buffalo Sabres, where he'd spend the next three seasons before being bought out. The 42-year-old also spent time with the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks before returning home to Germany, where he'd spend two seasons with Cologne and won Olympic silver with the national team in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Last season, Ehrhoff made a return to professional hockey in the second tier in Germany with Krefeld and looked pretty solid despite being 41 at the time. In 51 games, he had 24 points.
The auction for Christian Ehrhoff's Canucks pants ends next Wednesday - October 30th and now that it's more publicized, it's expected that the price will continue to go up and hopefully a Vancouver fan is able to take them home.
