Allvin could be in for another busy week as we're only five days away from the National Hockey League's trade deadline for the 2023-24 season.
The Canucks don't have many too holes they need to fill and will likely prioritize depth rather than a big name before 3 p.m. ET on Friday, March 8th. However, if the Canucks are presented with an opportunity to acquire a big name, such as Jake Guentzel for example, there's no doubt that Allvin will be in the mix to try and add them.
On the forward front, there are many options the Vancouver Canucks could consider before the deadline. The most obvious is an in-house option of sorts, with free agent forward Phil Kessel, who is working out for the organization in the American Hockey League with Abbotsford.
In an article on The Athletic this weekend, Thomas Drance and Rick Dhaliwal have linked the Canucks to a pair of forwards, one of whom has spent a little bit of time with the organization - Tyler Toffoli of the New Jersey Devils and Jordan Greenway of the Buffalo Sabres.
Toffoli, 31, appeared in 17 games for the Canucks between the regular season and playoffs back in 2020. This season, with the Devils, he's put up 44 points (26 goals, 18 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-11 in 59 games.
Greenway, a native of Canton, New York, has appeared in 49 games for the Buffalo Sabres this season where he's recorded 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists), 39 penalty minutes and is a plus-eight.
Which of the two players mentioned by Thomas Drance and Rick Dhaliwal do you think would be a better fit for the Vancouver Canucks - Tyler Toffoli or Jordan Greenway? Share your thoughts with us in the poll below.
