LATEST | NHL issues a statement regarding a former Canucks goaltender
The Flames' season hasn't gone according to plan, but it's been quite the contrary for the former Canuck netminder Jacob Markstrom.
The Swede made history when he helped his team in the win. Markstrom now counts 211 NHL wins, which surpasses Tommy Salo and sets him up to now target Henrik Lundqvist who has 459:
Jacob Markstrom earned his 211th career win and passed Tommy Salo for the second most by a Swedish-born goaltender in NHL history. Henrik Lundqvist tops the list with 459.
In 36 starts, the former Canuck Jacob Markstrom features a 2.58 goals against average and has kept 0.914% of the puck out of his net. There has been lots of rumours suggesting the goaltender could be on the move, and with his recent play, it's fair to assume to a number of teams have been calling.
