MAJOR | Rick Tocchet has just confirmed for Dakota Joshua: Not looking good
The Canucks have been playing without their power forward and his Good Job Boys line for quite some time now, and it's precisely the stability and consistency they've been lacking.
Dakota Joshua was last seen on the ice against the Chicago Blackhawks when he registered a rare Gordie Howe Hat-trick. Joshua got into a fight late into the third period and hasn't seen the ice with his teammates since. While the belief was that Joshua was nearing a return, Rick Tocchet revealed today that the Canucks' 81 would be waiting a little more time before getting back to the team's roster:
#Canucks Tocchet didn't get into details but said today, 'We're not going to have Dakota here for a little bit more.' So don't look for Joshua to return this week. Five weeks tomorrow since the injury
Before he got injured, Joshua was well on his way to scoring the 20 goals Rick Tocchet had predicted he could get. Through 56 games, the power forward had managed 13 goals and 13 assists, which now stands as his career-high. This pace would've had him totalling 40 points and 20 goals over an entire 82-game season.
