SIGNING ALERT | Surprise announcement, Former first-rounder inks one-year deal
The announcement came in earlier today, the Winnipeg Jets issued a statement confirmed they had extended one of their RFA's. The defenseman Logan Stanley will be with the Jets for at least one more season.
This announcement comes as a surprise since the giant defenseman asked for a trade out of Winnipeg earlier in the season. The Jets issued the following release confirming that the two parties had reached an agreement:
''The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with defenceman Logan Stanley on a one-year contract with an average annual value of $1,000,000.''
Stanley, 25, is a 6'7'' and 228 pounds defenseman. He was the Jets' 1st Round selection in 2016 (18th OA). Limited to 19 games in 2022-2023, he collected 1 goal, 3 points and 21 penalty minutes.
