The Canucks traded the veteran forward Tanner Pearson to the Canadiens in the deal that gave the Canucks the backup goaltender they needed in Casey DeSmith.
After he only played in 14 games during the 2022-2023 season, Pearson was allowed to find his game back in Montreal. It was coming nicely for the 31-year-old veteran through the first 27 games he played.
Today, the Canadiens announced terrible news in his regard. The latest reports from the infirmary suggest that he'll be missing anywhere from four to six weeks worth of activity:
''Tanner Pearson out 4-6 weeks with an upper-body injury, Habs say''
Pearson missed the majority of last season due to a hand injury. Hopefully, this isn't a setback. Our thoughts are with him as he battles, yet again, an injury.
