LEAGUES ALL-AROUND THE WORLD MAKING CHANGES: WHL FOLLOWS THE TENDENCY
Great Britain's Hockey Association made neck guards a mandatory piece of equipment on Sunday; NHL organizations have made strong recommendations to their affiliates, but now the WHL has followed the footsteps and made a significant announcement in that regard just moments ago:
''The WHL announced today the adoption of mandatory neck guard protection for all players, effective Friday, November 3.''
While neck guards won't eliminate skates and blades, they will help prevent these uneventful happenings. Should Hockey Associations make neckguards mandatory for every on-ice event?
