We know for a fact that Aquillini hates spending money for no reason making it less likely to see Bruce go before the end of his contract. We know that Boudreau was never the man of choice for Allvin and Rutherford. Nevertheless, he's rendered good services to the Canucks during his tenure, especially with the hand he was dealt.
Darren Dreger was on Sekeres and Price and alongside Pierre Lebrun earlier today on Got Yer Back and stated the following:
The information going around targeted the all-star weekend as the date when everything would take place. From Dreger's perspective, current Canucks' assistant coach Mike Yeo would take the interim job until the summer. At which point Rutherford and Allvin will make their move for their coach moving forward.
It was already evoked that Rick Tocchet was one of the top candidates for the job.
Those of you who would like to see Barry Trotz take over will not be content, Trotz is represented by the same agent as Boudreau making it relationship between Trotz and the Canucks extremely unlikely.
The Canucks clearly need a change in the team's atmosphere, whether it's behind the net, in the strategy or in the line-up. Do you think a coaching change in the season is a step forward?
