BREAKING: Terrible News for one of the league's top winger
The Hurricanes acquired from the Golden Knights both Max Pacioretty and Dylan Coghlan for future considerations over the summer. To this day it is a steal, but terrible news fell upon the former Montreal Canadiens' captain.
Max Pacioretty only took parts in 44 games over the last two seasons, in which he posted 40 points. The winger had only been playing in 5 games with the Hurricanes before this happened.
Now the worst has been confirmed, after the result to the MRI showed that he injured the same tendon again. Here's the report from a Raleigh journalist:
This injury comes at a crucial time for Pacioretty who's now 34 and had been performing at a high level. No timeline have been set from the team so far, but he can be expected to be out for a good amount of time.
A few weeks before the deadline, this will definitely give the Canes some wiggle room for a potential purchase, Horvat perhaps?
