Canucks' restricted free agent signs a two-year deal in the KHL: Patrik Allvin lost his bet
Patrik Allvin struck a big deal when he acquired the former first round pick Vitaly Kravstov from the Rangers in exchange only for Will Lockwood and a seventh round pick.
Kravstov had not developed up to the performance level that was anticipated from him when he was drafted at the 9th rank by the Rangers. Allvin took a low-cost risk with the soon to be RFA, while the staff had been expecting to work with him next season, the latest report out of Russia are suggesting otherwise.
Canucks' Insider Rick Dhaliwal broke the news, Kravtsov appears to have signed a 2-year contract sending him back to his native Russia:
'This story says Vitaly Kravtsov has signed in the KHL.
A 2 year deal in Traktor Chelyabinsk.
Kravtsov played 16 games for the Canucks this season.''
Kravtsov will have played a total of 16 games with the Canucks. During his time in Vancouver the winger amassed a lone goal and a lone assist.
