Stories surrounding the Canucks have been pouring this year and it seems as if it'll never stop. Although they won last night, the team has been having issues with consistency and the fans have been hard on the team.

In one of his segments yesterday Rick Dhaliwal made an intriguing statement that's been causing quite a reaction on Twitter regarding the fan's intensity regarding their team.

"Vancouver is considered a volatile market.."

Don Taylor immediately asked him to expand on the subject, and he responded:

» People care, but also it's volatile, it's a hot market and you know there hasn't been a lot of winning. But it does grow on the players. [ . . . ] Players are thinking right now when's the next bomb? When's the next big story?»

NHL players earn millions of dollars over their careers and even though the market the team's in may affect a player's willingness to sign or not with said team, they're professionals are they not?

Thought further on in the segment Ryan Henderson actually made an interesting when he stated that most of the issues surrounding the Canucks came from management:

«A lot of the issues currently, are surrounding the future of the captain and a massive contract for J.T. Miller. [ . . . ], you built this, Rutherford and the team built this.»

Is Vancouver an intense market to be in? Absolutely, though former players will all be unanimous on the matter. The nicest place to play are the ones where the people care. Do you believe that Vancouver's Fans are too hard on the team and hold non-realistic expectations?
