Earlier today it was revealed that Bo Horvat's clan had rejected the most recent offer from the Canucks. Pierre Lebrun from TSN, confirmed the information:
At the moment, 4 contending teams we're reported to have already manifested their interest towards the league's fourth-highest goal scorer.
1. Colorado Avalanche
The Avs have most recently lost Nathan Mackinnon to an injury. This team's window for a back-to-back is still open since everyone's expected to make it back in-season. Cap wise, they're still tight, though if they were to give enough the Canucks might be tempted to retain salary until the end of the season. If they were to be trade partners, I'd expect Alex Newhook to be on this trade.
2. Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs' play has been tremendous in the month of November and it seems that they may have fixed their goaltending issues. They could be looking at the possibility to move forward in order to add depth and talent. We know the Canucks need RHD, and Timothy Liljegren could fill that void. Perhaps Alex Kerfoot could be implicated in that trade for Cap reasons.
3. Dallas Stars
The Stars are low on picks, they've been lights out since the season's started with outstanding performances from Jason Robertson who's chasing the Rocket Trophy this year. Not sure how they can work it out cap wise, but they have plenty of young players in the AHL that could make up quite a package deal for the Canucks' captain. Players like Logan Stankoven or Mavrik Bourque could be going the other way,
4. New York Rangers
The Rangers are known to be aiming at cup run this year, they've got plenty of talent, an excellent defensive core and adding a piece like Horvat might just be what they lack. They still have this year's 1st round pick, they also have plenty of young players that could potentially be move if the Rangers were to go all-in.
Although everyone still hopes Horvat's gets paid in Vancouver, the current thread is that he'll be moved and hit free agency on July 1st.
