The Canucks made a post on their Twitter account which showed Bear at the tournament doing a question and answer session with fans. He also participated in the ceremonial puck drop on Wednesday night prior to the host Kamloops Blazers taking on the Western Hockey League Champion and Bear's former junior club, the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Bear had a strong tournament for Canada, alongside fellow Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers. Unfortunately for Bear, his tournament ended early after suffering an injury late in the third period of their quarter-final win over Finland. He went on to miss the semi-finals and gold medal game, but was on the ice with his Canadian teammates to celebrate the victory last Sunday.
Gold looks good on you, Ethan! 🥇
Fresh off the #IIHFWorld win, Bear joined the #MemorialCup festivities in Kamloops earlier this week as part of their Indigenous Day celebrations!
