LATEST | Great News regarding Filip Johansson and the Canucks
It had been reported earlier that Filip Johansson's season came to an end in Sweden. It was confirmed earlier today that the right-handed shot d-man would be joining the Abbotsford Canucks in their run for the Calder Cup.
It was Rick Dhaliwal that confirmed the information earlier today:
The Swede is coming off a strong season in which he made the Minnesota Wild regret their decision of letting him go. In Sweden's top league he amassed 21 points in 51 regular season games and was even better in the playoffs where he managed 5 points in 12 games.
Prospected to be a part of the solution on the Canucks' defensive right side, the 23 year-old will be making his North-American debut and he'll take part of the team's training camp in September.
