The Rangers have been having quite the season and their GM, Chris Drury has been a wizard acquiring major pieces. Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko are two superstars that joined via transaction, but now he secured the team's future and extended an upcoming restricted free agent that's been great for the team.
The Rangers announced that the centerman Filip Chytil would be under contract for 4 more years for a $4.375M AAV:
Chytil has been as stud centering the team's third line this year since he currently has 22 goals and 42 points in 66 games. The centerman bloomed quite nicely after last year's playoff and he's taken his game to the next level.
