LATEST | Rick Tocchet delivered a very specific message to the players ahead of the post-season
The Canucks season ended earlier than expected, while most will see this precocious season end as a failure, Tocchet sees it as an opportunity.
Tocchet pointed out on multiple occasions that the team needed to build off of better standards and bring in a new culture. This all starts with the team's off-season preparation and he delivered a very specific message to them regarding their preparation:
"Rick Tocchet has warned these guys, you better not be going home and munching donuts & nachos...I get a lot of feedback from agents [on the Sedins] they love these two Hall of Famers get to talk to prospects."
The team has gone under a new wind since Tocchet came in. Up to this day were still feeling the effects of his takeover. Now we'll have to wait and see if it keeps on going until next year or if Tocchet will be another passenger behind the bench.
Some key players' game changed drastically once Tocchet took the job, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser were absolute beasts once Tocchet took the reigns. Boeser admitted that he was no longer seeking a trade, however, Allvin and Tocchet were quite clear in their post-season interview that the goalscoring winger had to be in better shape when training camp starts ahead of the 2023-2024 season.
