Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers scored a crucial goal for Canada at World Championship on Tuesday against Czechia, which would stand as the game-winner.

Just under five minutes into the third period, Myers received the puck off the faceoff following a pass from Jack Quinn. He then skates down low towards the Czechia net and rips a shot five-hole on Karel Vejmelka to give Canada a 2-1 lead.

Lawson Crouse would go on to score an empty netter as Canada got the win by a score of 3-1, just 24 hours after losing to Norway in a shootout. Canada's win sees them finish second-place in Group B and will take on Finland in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

The defenceman stepped up his game considerably since he's been taking big minutes and has played tremendously over the last couple of games.
