MAJOR | Canucks emit official statement regarding Ethan Bear
While he took part in the Men's World Championships, the defenseman got injured and now the worst has just been confirmed.
Ethan Bear underwent a successful shoulder surgery today and will be expected to miss six months.
''General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Ethan Bear underwent successful shoulder surgery. Bear was injured at the 2023 IIHF World Championship and is expected to be out for six months.''
This really comes as bad news for the defenseman, as his contract is set to expire on July 1st. He'll then be a restricted free agent, and injuries don't help much in contract negotiations.
