It appears they have finally made their choice as Eliotte Friedman confirmed the Canucks would be buying out the defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson:
'' There is word this afternoon that Vancouver will buy out Oliver Ekman-Larsson. He will be an unrestricted free agent.''
The Canucks now have money to spend two weeks away from free agency.
