PRESS RELEASE | Patrik Allvin announces new hiring: Addition to the staff
The Vancouver Canucks proceeded to make a major announcement today via an official press release. The team confirmed that Patrik Allvin had hired a new staff member in Alex Trinca. He was named Director, of Sports Performance.
'General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that Alex Trinca has been named Director, Sports Performance to lead the club's Human Performance department.''
Trinca joins the Canucks after spending the last 7 years of his professional career with the Penguins as the active Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Trinca carries an impressive resume with him. He was an essential part to the Pens back-to-back cup run, but his experience and studies make him the valuable asset that he is.
A certified Sports Scientist, Strenght and Conditioning Coach, and Exercise Physiologist. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Kinesiology, and Exercise Science at York University along with a Master of Kinesiology. He then added an Applied Exercise Physiology from the University of Calgary. Fair to say he's got quite the pedigree.
He'll definitely be an excellent addition to Allvin and Tocchet's staff as they try and build their culture within the organization.
