Well, Luke Schenn had seen enough to entertain that notion when Miles Wood took exception to the hulking defenceman's style of play in the middle of the second period of last night's loss to the New Jersey Devils. It resulted in a trio of ejections as Dakota Joshua was also sent for an early shower, something that came as surprise to the 18,000+ in attendance along with Shorty & Cheech calling the game on Sportsnet.
The problem though, instead of continuing to bring the smoke with a power play that has been red hot, it resulted in a Dawson Mercer Shorthanded goal against followed by a 4th tally from Yegor Sharangovich just 150 seconds later.
The Devils are a real good squad on the ice, but on the social media tip they are all world as we quickly saw on New Jersey Devils official Twitter Account after the young Belarusian buried that one.
The Canucks added a pair of PP Goals, both from Captain Bo Horvat but still came up short 5-2 on the back of a shorthanded goal against & that same inability to defend a man short, capped off by a late empty netter from Quinn's brother Jack Hughes.
He now leads the brotherly head to head 4-1, with the Canucks back in action Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks, puck drop is 7pm at the Rog'.
