Spencer Martin has been completely wrecking Thatcher Demko in the crease this season for the Vancouver Canucks. Not only has he managed to salvage almost all the wins the Canucks have, he's also keeping the Canucks in the game enough to get leads. Now, granted, he's made his fair share of mistakes like the lob on net sent from the the blueline in the Buffalo Sabres game. But the Canucks won that game so all is forgiven. Spencer Martin is playing himself into a starting spot almost every night so far and we're interested to see how the latest battle of the crease in Vancouver is going to go.
SPENCER MARTIN STATS
GAMES PLAYED-6 WINS-4 LOSSES-1 OT-1 SAVE %-.898 GAA-3.49
THATCHER DEMKO STATS
GAMES PLAYED-11 WINS-1 LOSSES-8 OT-2 SAVE %-.874 GAA-4.02
Let's see if this season turns around for Demko, if not it'll be Spencer Martin's for the taking.
