Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin is the GM that keeps on giving. After making a trade with the Buffalo Sabres Allvin would announce Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko has been actived off injured reserve and will join the Canucks in Dallas.
Demko has been out of the lineup for over six weeks after suffering a lower-body injury, but is ready to get back into action.
Demko has struggled with a 3-10-2 record this season, a .883 save percentage and 3.93 goals-against average.
"He's getting really close. It's just a matter of getting a couple good, grinding practices in front of him and then hopefully start him," head coach Rick Tocchet said last week.
Allvin would also announce goaltender Arturs Silovs has been sent back down to the Canucks AHL affiliate team, the Abbotsford Heat.
