Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin is sick and tired of all the rumors and bad mouthing that is taking place around the latest trade that sent J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers, and he has spoken to the media to make one thing extremely clear.

Less than two days ago, the Vancouver Canucks finally pulled the trigger and traded away their number one center J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers, which is still garnering a lot of attention to how this outcome even came to be.

Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin Reveals main reason for trading J.T. Miller, and it's not what you think

Obviously, the rift between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller was confirmed to be a big issue in the Canucks locker room and the main catalyst for having to trade him, but Allvin also wants to make something else clear.
It was revealed by Allvin himself that the conversation between the Canucks, Miller and his agent began at the end of November, early December to attempt a trade that makes sense for both sides.
He said that the real "catalyst' was not an either or between Miller and EP40, but a chance to give Miller a new environment and opportunity that will help him and his health.
Allvin felt the need to put it all out there and be clear that it was more of a gesture to Miller which in turn helps the Canucks.
«This was a conversation between myself and J.T. and his agent that started about two months ago,» said Allvin. «With his health and the environment we had, during the time and during the discussions leading up to yesterday, I felt that he probably needed a fresh start - where he was in his life and in his age and with his family, this was the best option for him and the Vancouver Canucks.» - Patrik Allvin

The 31-year-old superstar had some injury issues through out the season, but the main area of concern was his health between his ears.
Hopefully paying for the Rangers is going to be the right thing for Miller and his family as it was clear that he was not going to last in Vancouver.
