NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman dropped some serious details on Sportsnet's 'Saturday Headlines' segment regarding when the issues within the Vancouver Canucks Locker room went even further south when on road trip in Florida.

The last few days have been a major change for the Vancouver Canucks as they made two blockbuster trades in the same night.
The deal saw J.T. Miller, Vincent Desharnais, Danton Heinen, Erik Brannstrom leave the organization in a trade where the Canucks acquired Marcus Pettersson, Filip Chytil and Drew O'Connor, and young defenseman Victor Mancini.

It was clear by Patrik Allvin's comments that the attempt to trade J.T. Miller was in the works for months before it actually come to fruition, and it appears that Elliotte Friedman has the inside scoop on when that decision was most likely made.
Friedman heard that many of the Vancouver Canucks players had come together while on a trip in Florida to try and put an end to the issues, but it obviously took a turn for the worst as the Canucks started the trade conversations
"I heard that earlier in the year, the Canucks went on an east coast swing and it included going through Florida,» said Friedman. «I think at one point there, a small group of players got together and asked, 'Can you guys solve this?' Obviously, it stayed rocky."
But as Allvin made clear, there was more to the story than just a rift between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller.
Miller's mental health was taking a hit this season, to a point where he needed a esh start somewhere else as it was too far gone as a member of the Canucks, which Allvin obliged.
"We tried and we talked over the last two months to see if there was a common ground moving forward here in Vancouver but it made it clear to me that this was in the best interest for J.T. Miller and the Vancouver Canucks,» said Allvin to Sportsnet."
