Vancouver Canucks fans have heard most members of the team comment on J.T. Millers departure, but most of them have been waiting for Captain Quinn Hughes to address the media, and now, he finally has.

After Months of swirling trade rumors, speculation and drama, the Vancouver Canucks finally traded J.T. Miller, and now Quinn Hughes and fellow teammates are making their thought quite clear about the move.

Vancouver Canucks Captain Quinn Hughes comments on J.T. Miller trade

Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin has been criticized all season long for not making a move sooner despite the teams downward decline and the rift between Miller and Elias Pettersson that has plagued the team this season.
Well last night, that all changed when he made two blockbuster trades, sending J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers and acquiring Marcus Pettersson from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
As the trade happened just moments before puck drop between the Canucks and Dallas Stars, Hughes had to wait until post game to make his thought and comments clear to the media.
After the 5-3 loss, Hughes spoke candidly to the media about Miller, who have been teammates for the past 6 seasons.
"Yeah, I mean, obviously a lot of noise last couple weeks and months. But, you know, seeing him go, he's a heck of a hockey player, and enjoyed playing them for the six years that I had.

And you know, I obviously wish him the best, and personally, I'm gonna see him in six, seven days. So, but right now, it doesn't even really seem real, but next couple weeks, I'm sure it will sink in a little bit."

He continued to speak on the changes that this trade implies, and how even though the noise and subtraction was hard to deal with, losing him is a major loss.
"I think not only myself, but you know, everyone in the organization, I think it's just been a lot of noise, and you know you know from Mizzy to it's been a lot of him. And I think he's looking forward to, you know, a fresh start. But we're obviously you know gonna miss him here."

Now that this drama has been put to rest, the pressure and criticism on Elias Pettersson is only going to continue to grow if he does not turn his season around.

One thing is fore sure, it is going to be interesting to see the former teammates duke it out in the 4 Nations Faceoff in the next coming weeks.
