The tension is at its peak in the NHL right now since a lot of teams' seasons are a stake. The Winnipeg Jets had a meeting with the Minnesota Wild last night and as expected things got out of hand pretty fast.

Coaches Send Invitation for a Fight

The Jets were playing their way into the playoffs last night, a win confirmed their spot in the spring dance whereas a loss would've left a chance for the Nashville Predators to take the last available spot.

Connor Hellebuyck ultimately led his team to a 3-1 win, the netminder was stellar managing to stop 33 of the 34 shots that were sent his way, and he was later recognized as the game's first star.

It was a hard-fought match between the two clubs that showed playoff spirit. Cheap shots were delivered, and Ryan Hartman delivered a hard check on Nikolaj Ehlers who was nowhere near the puck.

Things then heated up on the team's bench when the Wilds' and Jets' respective Head Coaches send each proper fighting invitations, stealing some of the spotlights along the way:

'Bowness was upset Evason put Reaves on the ice with less than a minute to go to fight. Bowness yelled over to Evason "That's f*king bullshit!", and Evason responded with the gesture of inviting Bowness to fight him.''

This surely gives us an exciting preview of the playoffs. The rivalry between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs has already given sparks. While the Jets and the Wild won't be facing off in the 1st Round, it would surely be interesting to see them meet later on.
