LATEST | Canucks issue statement regarding the newly signed Pius Suter
The Canucks' GM Patrik Allvin announced the signing of the forward Pius Suter. Low-cost depth signing that has the potential to pay big for the Canucks.
The Canucks stated that one of their objectives during the summer would be to add depth down the middle and they've done just that. Earlier this summer they announced that Teddy Blueger would be under contract for one-year with Nils Aman on top of it all, Tocchet will have 5 centermen capable of playing at the NHL level.
Earlier today, the Canucks issued their first statement regarding the newly acquired centerman, Pius Suter:
Welcome to Vancouver, Pius Suter!
«Bringing in Pius for the next couple of years really helps us strengthen our centre ice position.»
Allvin was quite happy with his newest acquisition, he noted that the fact that he scored 47 goals over the course of the 3 last campaign, his ability to kill penalties and the fact that he's as good on the dots as he is on the wings made this signing quite easy.
Suter first signed in the NHL has an undrafted free agent and took everyone by surprise when he joined the BlackHawks. Now that he's given another opportunity to prove his worth, can he once again impress and reach new levels in Vancouver?
