LATEST | Alex Pietrangelo calls out the NHL and Player Safety after his suspension
In game four of the spirited matchup between the Golden Knights and the Oilers, Alex Pietrangelo pissed off, offered a vicious two-handed slash to one of the league's top players Leon Draisaitl.
Here's the clip:
PIETRANGELO CALLS OUT THE LEAGUE
Pietrangelo was handed a one-game suspension for his actions and the Knights still managed to get away with the win in game 5. Game 6 is set to take place tonight and Pietrangelo openly called out the NHL and the Department of Player Safety:
'It's pretty obvious what's been going on. It was premeditated stuff, I'm pretty sure. (DoPS) didn't seem to care, but I'll get up and take it. I'm not going to lay on the ice like what's going on.''
Pietrangelo attacking the league for the suspension he was awarded is a joke. He was only awarded a one-game suspension for a blatant slash with intent to injure, he should've been penalized for way more.
The Knights hold a 3-2 lead in this series and could be ending the Oilers' season. Both Darnell Nurse and Alex Pietrangelo will be back in action.
