LATEST | Former Canuck will be attempting a return to the NHL
Some illnesses strike harder then others, as we come out of a worldwide pandemic, we're only starting to feel the long term effects.
A long-time Canuck, Brandon Sutter still hasn't fully recovered from the the illness that struck him and it was the main reason why he still had not made his way back on the ice. He was on Donnie and Dhali earlier today and revealed that he was eager to try and obtain another chance at the game's highest level. Sutter being a 34-year-old veteran, still feels like he has gas in the tank.
"I am finally feeling better, finally progress, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am hopeful to play again, I will give it another try in the fall."
He currently skates with the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL, where he played a couple of years ago. Sutter was last seen in action in 2020-21 when he managed 12 points in 43 games. The veteran could potentially earn a professional tryout when training camps kick off next year.
