LATEST | J.T. Miller harshly comments on his season calling it a shitshow
The Canucks' season came to an end last night after an O.T. win in Arizona when Conor Garland scored a hat-trick and the game-winning goal.
J.T. Miller gave his comments after a season that's been both great and terribly bad. Miller took a lot of heat for the team's non-success after signing a hefty $56M deal. However, his apport and production spiked when the coaching change occurred, and the J.T. we had learned to love, the one who had managed 99 points last season, was back. Here are the words he used to describe his season:
''I don't know if you've seen a shit show like (the first half of this season). I just got outside my lane, and then it distracted my work and created bad habits. It's very simple. I'm not proud of it. If my character was ever questioned -- which I'm sure it was -- I think (the second half) says a lot.''
It's clear that the team was a reflection of Miller since there was a clear correlation between the two. Miller was a different player as soon as Tocchet came in and so was the entire club. Miller's emotions were canalized into his play and it showed as he ended up totalizing an impressive 32 goals and 50 assists for 80 points.
There were lots of talks around the star forward a few days prior to the deadline, though Miller has made a case for himself as he showed that he could be a part of the solution moving forward.
