The Vancouver Canucks are in New York Tonight to face-off against Islanders and their former captain Bo Horvat, who was traded to the Islanders last week before the NHL All-Star weekend.

The Canucks are expected to be fairly busy moving as many players as they can for some picks and prospects, Brock Boeser's name has come up in a lot of the trade talks, but also another Canuck gaining a lot of attention is defenceman Luke Schenn.

Schenn one of those warriors every team could use especially in the playoffs. Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun gave a update on Schenn with management still undecided if they want to trade him or re-sin him this summer.

LeBrun on Insider Trading: "Luke Schenn himself as indicated to management that he is fine with staying put and even signing an extension, so to me this is going to come down to what's on the table, is it worth moving the pending UFA or do we keep him around?"

Up to this point, from our perspective, everything points toward the Canucks trading their veteran and acquiring him again in free agency. Both parties love each other, the Canucks must cash in on every possible asset.
