Revelating statement on the potential next head coach in Vancouver
It's well known now that Canucks' management group (Rutherford and Allvin) did not have Bruce Boudreau as their top coach when they took over the reins of the team last season. His contract will come to an end this season and we should expect a new coach anytime between now and the start of the 2023-2024 season.
''They are learning to play the system that will be played in Vancouver next year, and this is an opportunity to be confident in it.''
Abbotsford has been having a great deal of success lately, as they stand on a 5-game-winning streak and are 8-2-0 through their last 10 games. Not only are they having success, but the system they've implemented down there is doing wonders. They are currently led by Jeremy Colliton.
By insinuating that this was going to be the Canucks' system next year, is he suggesting that Colliton will be promoted to the NHL? Colliton has NHL experience since he's the one who took over the BlackHawks after Quenneville was fired. He was hired by the team's newest management group prior to the current season, will he be the one to take over from Boudreau?
