MAJOR | An official NHL expansion has been requested: Former Canuck leading the operation
There's been a distinguished amount of cities and groups that have demonstrated that they'd want to have an NHL expansion team in their cities. Gary Bettman has already with potential suitors, one of them, as it was revealed earlier this year, has already placed his bid.
SECOND GROUP WANTS IN?
Led by the former NHLer and Canuck Anson Carter, the Alpharetta Sports and Entertainment Group have placed their bid to obtain an expansion team and take the NHL back to Atlanta.
Alpharetta Sports and Entertainment Group, led by Anson Carter, has formally requested the NHL to initiate the expansion process to bring a team back to Atlanta.
The NHL has already been to Atlanta twice, the last franchise that played there have now established themselves as one of the Canucks' biggest rival, the Winnipeg Jets.
