The Vancouver Canucks might be pretty active at the NHL's trade deadline March and one name to keep an eye on is Brock Boeser, who knows being moves is a possibility.

47 days stand between now and the National Hockey League's trade deadline for the 2024-25 season and it's shaping up to be a busy period for Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks' front office.

J.T. Miller's name has been out there in rumors for several weeks now, with talks intensifying this weekend to the point where he was almost traded to the New York Rangers on Saturday.

While Miller's name will get all the headlines, Brock Boeser is another player to watch on the trade market as the pending unrestricted free agent doesn't seem close to a new contract with the Vancouver Canucks, which could lead to him being dealt before 12 pm PT on Friday, March 7th.

Being traded by the Canucks is a possibility that Brock Boeser understands and he knows that it would be an easy move for the organization to make, if Patrik Allvin goes down that route.

Brock Boeser says UFA status makes him easy guy to move

Boeser was recently interviewed by Sportsnet's Iain MacIntyre where he opened up about the possibility that he could be entering the final weeks of his tenure with the Vancouver Canucks organization.

The 27-year-old says that his focus right now is helping the Canucks get back on track and be a part of the solution here in Vancouver as they try to make a push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs down the stretch.

Given that the Canucks have been struggling of late, Boeser acknowledged that there's a chance Patrik Allvin could trade him before the deadline.

"All I want to do right now is help our team and be part of the solution, getting our team back on track. I mean, really play some good hockey with these guys, and then let (management) make a decision on me. I don't want to have it be like this." Boeser said.

He added, "Any team that's not doing well, there's going to be changes. I haven't played to my best this year, and I expect better for myself and, you know, I'm a UFA at the end of the year. So they could look at me and be like, 'He's the easy guy (to trade) right now.'"

Boeser has been an important piece to the Vancouver Canucks organization for a number of years now, setting career-highs in goals and points last season, but if the two sides aren't able to agree on a contract, then it would make sense to trade him before March 7th, rather than losing him for nothing in the summer.

The Burnsville, Minnesota native picked up an assist during last night's win over the Edmonton Oilers and will look to help the Canucks win two straight when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night at Rogers Arena.
